While active

Unlock
Click Unlock or press Return, then follow the macOS prompt. Depending on your Mac, you can use Touch ID, Apple Watch, or your Mac password.
What happens when you activate KeepArc Lock.

Start it from the KeepArc window, menu bar, Dock menu, a keyboard shortcut, or a browser you have approved for Remote.

Cover all displays
Every connected display shows a black screen with the time, date, and an Unlock button.

Keep your apps running
Your Mac stays logged in. Apps and network connections can keep running behind the cover.

Unlock when you return
Click Unlock or press Return and follow the macOS prompt to confirm it is you. The cover closes after you confirm.
Display changes
Connect or disconnect a monitor while locked.
The cover adjusts automatically when you connect or disconnect a display.
If unlocking fails
If you cancel the prompt or macOS cannot confirm it is you, your screens stay covered.
What KeepArc Lock blocks.
While the cover is active, KeepArc Lock blocks the usual ways of switching to another app, hiding the cover, or quitting it.
Stays above other windows
The cover stays above ordinary application windows on each display.
No app switching
The usual commands for switching apps or hiding the current app are disabled while the cover is active.
No Dock or menu bar
The Dock and menu bar stay hidden while the cover is active.
Quit and logout protection
The standard Force Quit and Log Out commands are disabled while the cover is active. KeepArc Lock also refuses requests to quit.

Launch KeepArc Lock from a connected phone or another browser when Remote access is enabled.
