Open a share link or scan a QR code on your phone, tablet, or another computer. KeepArc on the Mac decides who may connect and which actions are available.
Connection
Approval always happens on the Mac.

Connection flow
Four steps before any controls appear.

Enable Remote
Turn Remote on in KeepArc. The app creates the share details locally and connects to the configured host.

Open the browser page
Copy the share link or scan the QR code from the device you want to use.

Verify and approve
Compare the six-digit code, then approve the new browser on the Mac.

Use the encrypted session
Controls and live status become available after the browser and Mac establish their session.
Browser trust
Approve once or remember the browser.
You can approve a browser for the current connection or remember it for future sessions. KeepArc lists remembered browsers with their origin and last-use information, and lets you remove them at any time.
Your host
The default service is not mandatory.
KeepArc accepts a custom compatible Remote host, so the relay and browser-facing service can be run on infrastructure you control.
Available controls
A focused control panel, not a remote desktop.
Remote exposes specific actions implemented by KeepArc. It does not stream the screen or provide general keyboard, mouse, or file access.
KeepArc state
See the current state and turn cursor activity on or off.
Auto-stop
Review the active selection and switch between Off, presets, a custom duration, or a clock-time stop.
Pause Events
See saved events, their schedule summaries, and which one is active or next. Turn individual events on or off.
KeepArc Lock
Activate the full-screen KeepArc privacy cover from the browser.
Lock macOS
Invoke the built-in system lock. Accessibility permission must already be available on the Mac.
Displays and sound
Turn the Mac's displays off immediately or mute its current audio output.
Approved Shortcuts
Run only the Apple Shortcuts that were individually allowed in KeepArc settings.
Live Mac status
See battery and charging state, CPU use, KeepArc state, and whether the browser is approved and connected.
Live status
Enough context to know what the Mac will do.

Current status, detail text, active auto-stop selection, its deadline, and saved Pause Events.
Mac status
Battery percentage, charging and power-source state, CPU use, and whether sound is muted.
Connections
Active session count, remembered-browser count, transport state, and the current share URL.
Security boundary
The relay connects devices; the Mac grants trust.
After approval, the browser and Mac exchange encrypted command and status payloads. Private session material stays at the two endpoints.

Network metadata remains
End-to-end encryption does not hide normal connection metadata such as IP addresses, timing, channel identifiers, or encrypted message sizes from the service carrying the traffic.
Remote FAQ
Important limits before you enable it.
Is Remote enabled automatically?
No. It stays off until you enable it in KeepArc settings.
Can the browser approve itself?
No. A new browser waits for approval on the Mac and shows the same verification code.
Does Remote provide full access to the Mac?
No. It exposes a defined set of KeepArc and macOS actions. There is no screen streaming, file browser, or general keyboard and mouse takeover.
Can every Apple Shortcut be run remotely?
No. Only Shortcuts explicitly selected in KeepArc settings are exposed to Remote.
